Thank you for mentioning Radian6 in your post.

As you've highlighted Radian6 can monitor sentiment and the algorithms that enable this are continuously improving. While no monitoring tool provides 100% accuracy, Radian6 does allow for manual assignment of sentiment to individual posts which in return can be used to inform decisions and further analysis.

Thanks again,

Hi Tom,
That's not unusual...the changes will not appear through Google until the site is next indexed by the search engine bots which can be anything up to a month. If you'd like a free full analysis of the SEO on your website, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

Good insight. I've changed the title tag for my website to better reflect our company's brand and incoming search terms. We have a PageRank of 6. However, I changed the title 4 days ago and the old title is still showing up in google results...i'm a bit worried it's taking so long....any ideas!?? thanks

This is definitely the case...unless a business is proactively using the social media networks they are going to be of very little benefit. However, as you state, with a clear defined and strategy in place, these networks can create a huge buzz about a product, brand or event.

I have just been reading your blog post with Interest and would like to add to your points raised.

Whilst it is essential to have both SEO and Social Media working together, they are two differnet methods as yo rightly say.

How ever, what I do see on a regular basis is businesses jumping on board with A facebook logo, twitter logo slapped on to their websites...only to find they are doing nothing with it themselves, because they do not have a clear defined strategy or know what is the correct way to market themselves on these platforms.

Social Media over SEO will definatley create a Buzz online....if you have a strategy.

Definitely...more and more people are using the internet every day and it is most peoples first port of call for information! If someone is wanting to find a fitness club, for example, it is likely that they will turn to the internet to find this. Most likely using Google, this is why SEO is so important for companies. If people are searching for your line of business, it is essential you are one of the sites which is viewed by consumers.
